    Auto Teletech is a platform that enables independent auto mechanics to offer paid video consultations to car owners who need advice or help with their car issues.

  2. Do I work for Auto Teletech?

    No, you work for yourself. You're an independent freelancer. Auto Teletech simply provides the platform to help you get paid for your car advice.

  3. Do I need to pay to join Auto Teletech?

    No. Joining and using Auto Teletech is completely free.

  4. Can I stop using Auto Teletech anytime?

    Yes. You can stop using the platform at any time. There are no commitments.

Earnings and Payments

  1. How do I make money?

    You set your own consultation fees and earn money from each successful consultation. Auto Teletech only gets a commission when you get paid.

  2. How much can I charge?

    You set your own price, but the minimum is $10 to cover third-party application fees. We suggest starting at $20 and increasing your rate as you gain more reviews, but you can charge whatever you feel is fair for your time, expertise, and what your customers can afford.

  3. How does the payment process work?

    Customers enter their card details when booking, but they are only charged after the video consultation is completed. Your earnings (minus Auto Teletech's fees) are then transferred to your Stripe account.

  4. Do I need a Stripe account?

    Yes. You'll need a Stripe account to securely accept payments. You can use an existing Stripe account or create a new one; it's quick and free.

  5. Can I accept Video Consultations without a Stripe account?

    No. You must connect Stripe to your Auto Teletech account to complete consultations and get paid.

  6. How much does Auto Teletech take?

    Auto Teletech takes a 25% fee from each paid consultation. For example, if you charge $20, you keep $15, and Auto Teletech keeps $5. This fee helps cover Stripe charges, platform maintenance, software licenses, and ongoing marketing and development.

  7. Which countries is Auto Teletech available for Auto Technicians?

    Auto Teletech is currently available to Auto Technicians based in the U.S. and Canada only. We're working on expanding to more countries soon—stay tuned!

Your Personal Link and Promotions

  1. Who promotes my video consultation link?

    You do. You control your success by sharing your link with new and existing customers.

  2. Where can I share my Video Consultation link?

    Anywhere. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, email, text, your workshop signage, or even business cards with a QR code.

  3. When a customer clicks my link, who gets the Video Consultation?

    You do. All consultations booked through your link go directly to you.

  4. Can car owners living outside the U.S. and Canada book a Video Consultation using my link?

    Yes, customers living outside the U.S. and Canada can book a paid video consultation with you using your link. However, Stripe must be supported in their country. To view Stripe-supported countries, click here.

  5. Can I add my Auto Teletech Video Consultation link to my existing website?

    Yes, you can. Please contact us for more information.

Managing Consultations

  1. How long is each Video Consultation?

    You control the duration of your consultations. From experience, most consultations typically run between 7 and 30 minutes, but can be as short or as long as you want. Your main goal should always be to genuinely help your customers. Remember, your customers will rate you at the end of each consultation and can refer new customers to you.

  2. Is there a limit to how many Video Consultations I can accept?

    No limit. Please note that you can only complete one consultation at a time. If you receive multiple consultations, they will all appear on your dashboard (My Customer Requests), but you can only complete them one at a time.

  3. What if a customer cancels their request?

    If they cancel before the session starts, they will not be charged, and their request will be removed from your dashboard (My Customer Requests).

  4. Do I need special tools?

    No. Just a phone or laptop with a camera and internet access.

  5. Why does Auto Teletech need my phone number?

    We use it to send you alerts when a customer books a consultation. Your number is never shared unless you choose to.

Customer Support and Community

  1. Is this a full-time job?

    It's a flexible income stream. You don't have to quit your job to use it. It's designed to fit around your schedule, but if you promote your link well, it can grow into a significant source of income/full-time job.

  2. What if I have questions or need help using Auto Teletech?

    We're here for you! Reach out anytime, we'll guide you through setup, address any issues, or answer your questions.

  3. Is there an Auto Teletech community I can join?

    Yes! We have a private community for verified auto technicians where you can share tips, ask questions, learn from others, and access marketing content to help promote your video consultation link. You'll receive access once your account is verified.
